Gourmet coffee roaster Boncafé International has opened a new Coffee Gallery and Academy in Singapore. Located at Pandan Loop at the main Boncafé roasting house, it will showcase and provide training on coffee.
Equipped to demonstrate the crop-to-cup story, the facility has coffee plants, premium coffee bean varieties and roasting machineries. |
There are also professional baristas to coach customers and the public in coffee appreciation and barista courses.
Managing Director of Boncafé Christian W. Huber says, “Although coffee is the second largest traded commodity in the world after oil, few understand the numerous processes before the coffee beans go into the cup.
“We launch this learning and training facility because we are passionate in what we do, and hope the new gallery and academy will be inspirational for those learning and training to make good coffee.”
| Recently, Boncafé also announced the launch of a new domestic coffee machine from Spain. Name the Ascaso ‘Dream’ Machine, it is available in 12 funky colours – bright red, baby pink, green, orange, cow etc – the machine is multi-functional, complete with a temperature gauge monitor, 48oz water tank, cup warmer etc. It can even froth milk with its in-built steam wand.
